NOTE: We are sending our contribution to Dr. Jessup at the end of March. Our Goal is $500!
Luke 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

Dear Friends in Christ,
It was good to get away and get some rest during February. I did not realize until afterwards how helpful it would be for Beth and I to have some time to ourselves and also with some of our grandchildren.
We are now prepared for a very busy spring. We have five church plants scheduled between now and the end of May. Three of these will be in the United States, one in Canada and one in Scotland. Please pray the Lord will bless and use these in a great way. Read more

Dear Praying Friends,
When I was younger, much younger, I was often told that as you get older the days and years pass so quickly. I did not believe it then, but I certainly do now. This year has rapidly passed by, and I realize there is much to do and little time to do it. We are so thankful for all the Lord has accomplished through this ministry in 2008. It will be hard to pick the highlights of all the Lord has done.

This is a very important letter for our ministry. Within a couple of days, if not already, you will receive a brochure for our “Reaping the Harvest” offering for 2009. This offering is to replenish our Seed Bank for the coming year. The Seed Bank is completely empty and we are using funds from the General Fund to cover our expenses when helping a new church get started. If we do not have an especially good offering this year, we will not be able to continue to offer our assistance to churches as we have in the past. We are trusting God to burden the hearts of churches to do something for this offering this year. We already have 14 church plants on which we are working for 2009 and that may increase as the year progresses. This is more than we have ever done in one year. Read more
Jessup Update

Dear Friends in Christ,
Fifteen years ago, on August 1, 1993, Baptist Church Planting Ministry came into existence. After praying for six months and talking with several pastors, Beth and I decided the Lord wanted us to begin a ministry helping churches reproduce churches. We had no idea where this adventure would lead us and we certainly didn’t know the Lord would bless this ministry as He has.
During the past fifteen years, we have directly been involved in helping churches reproduce 95 new churches in 7 countries and on 4 continents. Of these only two churches did not survive two years and over 90% are still ministering in communities reaching souls with the gospel and giving to missions. These churches will give around 1.5 million dollars to missions in 2008. This equals one new church for every two months BCPM has been in existence. The fewest churches reproduced were in 1993 with three churches and the most in 2000 with 11 new churches planted. At least 8 churches have been reproduced every year since 2001 except in 2005 when only 4 churches were reproduced. Several of these churches have already reproduced churches. We have also helped many churches with advice, material and teaching which allowed them to reproduce churches without the active involvement of BCPM.
The Lord has given us a wonderful staff as we have grown. When we started I took care of just about everything except the money. Pastor Johnson allowed the financial secretary at First Baptist Church to handle all the money for the ministry. We now have a staff of five families caring for the ministry. Mrs. Julia Graves is our secretary, Brother Loren Steven and his wife serve as our Field Representatives and handle all the work with the John/Romans, Brother Mike Foster and Brother Clarence Moore serve as Project Coordinators in the United States and Canada. We praise the Lord for our faithful and dedicated staff. Please pray for them as they serve with us in this ministry.
We know none of this would be possible without the faithfulness of churches, their pastors and members which have invested so sacrificially in this ministry. We want you to know that we are so very thankful for every church that has prayed for us and financially invested in BCPM over the years. We are humbled by your care and concern for us. We realize that we owe you a great debt and we continue to remain committed to doing the best we can because of your investment in BCPM.
Please continue to pray for the churches that have been planted and the churches that are to be planted. We have five more churches this year that will be birthed out of local churches. At the end of 2008 we will have helped 100 churches and should the Lord tarry His coming we hope we can see that number grow substantially in the coming years. Please pray for us.
Co-laborers together in the Great Commission,

Earl D. Jessup
Jessup Update April 08

I am a bit late with this letter because we wanted to wait until after we finished working on a church plant in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Reynoldsburg is a suburb of Columbus and the church was reproduced by Newark Baptist Temple in Heath. Several churches helped with the meetings and God blessed.
We averaged around 65 each evening with 21 visitors attending from the community. There were some in the services that were unsaved but no one trusted Christ during the meeting. The church has been holding services for several months now but this meeting helped establish the credibility of Pastor Jim Larger and demonstrated to the visitors the direction the church is going. Please pray with us as they try to reach the eastern suburbs of Columbus with the gospel. There are few churches in the Columbus area that are standing for the truth and this church is needed in the area. Read more
